Rising Bubbles Underwater

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well.

I'm back with another design using Design by Ryn's amazing Rising Bubbles stamp!   This time the bubbles are rising underwater and I've painted them different colours for fun.

I'm joining in the current challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More, the theme is "Anything Goes".

I started with spraying Dylusions Inks on watercolour paper (purple, lime, green & turquoise), I sprayed water over the ink & blotted off with a paper towel roll.    I stamped Seaweed set (both stamps) with Picked Raspberry & Peacock Feathers Distress Inks over the background.   I stamped the ink off a couple of times before stamping the one in the background to create depth in the 'sea'.   I stamped School of Fish, Rising Bubbles & the quote with black Stazon ink.     I coloured the rising bubbles with Distress Ink on my craft sheet using a brush & water & I highlighted with a white Gellyroll pen.

The quote is from Impression Obsession- C5053 "Voice of the Sea"

Design by Ryn's stamps are high quality & deeply etched.  If you are interested in purchasing Ryn's Designs, please visit her Webstore for more information.    Ryn's Facebook page is constantly updated with inspiration and as well as my teammates' blogs that are listed on my sidebar.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

  2. I love this Shirley. It looks great with just the small silhouette fish amongst the seaweed and the bubbles rising. The colours are gorgeous too. My bubbles arrived yesterday, along with the new drops and the humming bird on the branch. Just over a week from Canada to the UK, takes longer sometimes to get packages from somewhere less than 100 miles away.

Hope you're having a great week.

  3. This is beautiful Shirley. I love the colours and have to confess to being a bit scared of the Dylusions sprays because they are such vivid colours. I really must pluck up courage to give the ones I have a try, lol! I placed my first ever order with Ryn a few days ago, mainly for about 3 of the 'water' stamps and I can't wait for them to arrive.

  16. What a great underwater scene Shirley.

What's your secret to stopping the Dylusions merging together ? I have difficulty here in comparison to glimmer mists and other sprays, especially with the purple as whatever colour I use with it I end up with a muddy mess.

  17. This looks so like the fluorescent atmosphere that I've seen on TV underwater films & utterly real. I love your attention to detail in colouring the bubbles & the way you've used similar colours to the Dylusions sprays for stamping the coral. Your black & white frame perfectly compliments the silhouettes of the fish & your white highlighting. A joy to behold.
