Seahorses & Rising Bubbles

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great week and enjoying your summer so far.  It's gorgeous weather here, not too hot and we've had enough rain to keep our gardens & lawn happy.

I have a card today for Designs by Ryn using a combination of her stamps to create an underwater scene.    I love working with these images.

I sprayed blue, turquoise & teal Dylusions inks on 140 lb cold press watercolour paper.   I spritzed water over it, moved the page around and let the colours run together here & there.    I blotted off with a paper towel roll, then blotted up some of the ink on my craft mat.   The texture in the top LH corner is from the spray, it created some cool designs.  One of things I love about 'playing' with these spray inks is you don't know exactly how it will turn out.   I also love the vibrant colours.

I used TCW Mini Coral stencil with Shaded Lilac & Mowed lawn Distress Inks.   Next I stamped Ryn's solid Seaweed from Seaweed Set with Salty Ocean DI several times.    I also embossed using the Seaweed stamp & Wow Glamour Green embossing Glitter.

The WOW powders are very glittery, love them.   I bought a few colours while I was in the Netherlands and now wish I had lots more. :)    However I have many glitter powders hanging out in my stash and intend to play with them more often.    I think I was saving them for Christmas designs, but have been inspired by Miranda's card designs to use them more often.

I stamped Rising Bubbles a few times with Black Stazon ink, blended the inks with water & brush and highlighted with a white pen.

I stamped the Seahorses from Ryn's Seahorse Set on water colour paper with Black Stazon ink and painted with my Tombow markers.   I added lots of holograph glitter with a glue pen to pick up on the glitter from the embossed Seaweed.

Hello is from Impression Obsession A3579.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Wow another lovely scene using the seahorses Shirley. I think these are my favorites from Ryn along with the sea bubbles. I also love the colours on your background. We had lovely weekend weather but today is overcast for the second day running, and the garden got a soaking last night. Hoping for good weather again this weekend.

Hope you week is going well.

The Mini Coral stencil gives lovely shadows to the stamped seaweed images & the sparkle of the embossing Glitter is incredibly effective. Your golden matting echoes the golden glow of the seahorses beautifully, especially with your dark inner mat.

SHIRLEY! This is beautiful! The colors are amazing, aren't they? Very magical, especially with all the dimension and textures - Shirley, I don't know how you are able to fussy cut such intrical images the way you do. I had to enlarge your photos to look real close - they look "masked" on your creation, but the colors did not seem to "match" the description of how you made the background. The seahorses look beautiful with the pale lavender unexpectedly gracing their orange green selves. Very beautiful, Shirley. hugs, de

Ohhhhh I love this. The bubbles and yummalicious! Shirley, I too love dylan's sprays - and the colors you used are also my absolute favs so when I saw your pic I just went dreamy! The sea horses are so cool - they are the essence of freedom to me. They look like they are communing! How wonderful is that. Thanks for putting all the elements of how you created this. I have heard of the WOW powders from Natalie at N'Studio but I have never used them. You say you love the sparkle or did you say glitter (sorry) I didn't know they had that in them. You now make me very intrigued when I see the beauty of your card. Again...I just want to grab those bubbles are blow them and pop them, they look completely real! HPPF (on thursday - a little late! lol) Lovies, Samara

I so envy whoever it is you're saying "Hello" to. This is just glorious! I love the underwater scenes you do. Someday I'm going to treat myself to some Dylusions inks, so I really appreciate that you explain how to use them, although I'm pretty sure I'm just going to make a big mess.LOL!

Another gorgeous work of art! I love whaat you do with the dylusions and your Ryn's! Fabulous work. Gotta get some more of her sets. I did get 3 more colors of dylusions on my spree the other day. Thanks for explaining how you do the techniques. The Wow glitter is new to me...is that just a Euro product? I'm off to google. TFS & Hugs.
